Sokudo Karate Guisborough, founded in 1980 by Shihan Enrico Capaldi (8th Dan Shukokai Karate), offers classes at St Paulinus School on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Shukokai Karate, derived from Shito Ryu, has roots in Okinawan martial arts dating back over three centuries. Developed by Sensei Kimura, Shukokai emphasizes powerful, speedy attacks and practical self-defense techniques, making it ideal for personal protection.

We welcome new members, both male and female, starting from age 5. Beginners will feel especially welcome, as we understand everyone starts somewhere.
